Whippets and Wine, the Finer Things in Life

Kyle is a two year old Whippet, who enjoys the finer things in life.

His hobbies include stealing shoes and ripping the soles out of them, playing with his aunt Maggie (a Whippet mix), and grandma Heidi (a German Shepherd), taking long two hour walks, and getting attention from all the patrons at the Starbucks patio.

He prefers resting on his pillow on the front table, so he can watch the joggers and dog walkers in the neighborhood pass by.

His favorite place to sleep is in bed, but preferably on pillows which are on the bed, or "velcroed" against one of his masters for warmth, under the covers of course.

He prefers drinking out of master's water glass that came out of the refrigerated, filtered tap, and not out of the dog bowl like the other dogs.

Kyle is a dog who definitely enjoys the finer things in life!

Our prize little dog, spoiled rotten, loves her balls and cuddly toys.

She hates cats and crows for that matter anything small that moves.

She has a great character, we love her to bits.

Penny the Whippet

Penny has her fifth month birthday today, 9 August 2014.

We got her when she was 10 weekd old. She is soooooo sweet and perpetually happy.

Penny has much to learn as she lives in a house with a senior citizen miniature spitzhond, two cats and a big flock of homing pigeons.

She is continually learning that her prey instinct is not allowed to be displayed toward our other resident pets.

We take her for numerous walks and there is plenty of playtime and running time given to her.

I can´t imagine not having her now!

Zina the Whippet

Zina is 2 years old and is such a blessing in our lives. She has the most beautiful personality and gentle spirit.

She loves to play in the garden and tries to get us to chase her, which we do, and she smiles as she sprints away.

She is a part of our lives, our family and our hearts.

Our Little Whippet Zoey...

Zoey is 12 weeks old and she has the most amazing and loving personality.

She has an older sister, Zina, who is two years old and has the most beautiful temperment and is teaching Zoey about the day to day activities of life.

Zoey loves to run and jump and always catches us unaware as she pounces over us for a bit of play time.

They are the love of our lives and are so special to us.

This is our Peeps

We rescued Peeps 2 years ago. She is without a doubt the most loving dog we have ever had. The kennel that had her before we got her, did a great job raising her the first year. Our Thanks go out to them for such a wonderful dog.

We live on a golf course, and when we let her go, she runs like the wind! And everyone who has met her, love her. All the dogs that live here think she is the best!

We have leather couch, and she has learned she can't get on it, unless we put her blanket down first. And when the blanket is missing, boy does she let us know!!

We love her, but you can tell that! :)

Restful Gem

We got Gem nearly 3 years ago now & our lives haven't been the same. She's an absolute delight!
Whippets make wonderful family pets & she is loved by our three children.
My husband runs her most mornings &, although not in favour of getting a dog, has developed a lovely relationship with her.
Her favourite thing is running full pelt after rabbits. To our knowledge, she hasn't eaten any just loves the "thrill of the chase"!

This is Meg our rescue whippet, we think she is 8. She is our baby, she has quickly learned that what she wants she gets..... Why wouldn't she!

I'm sure she thinks she's a princess perhaps because we treated her like one! Happy days...
