I'd never been owned by a Whippet before so hadn't really thought of a 'speedy' name as was totally unaware exactly how speedy these little guys are but as we couldn't decide on anything else (and also because my husband is FAR from patient and insisted he have a name before we arrived home) I decided my new boy would be called Rocket.
I'd actually got a whippet because I'd read they were 'couch potatoes' and my husband needed company while I was at work but I wouldn't call Rocket a couch potato. He's on the GO GO GO at every opportunity, (although he loves our cuddle on the couch at night).
Everyone screwed their name up at first but now EVERYONE laughs on the beach when they ask what his name is.
Their response?, ... "Of COURSE".
He's fast, funny, loving, clever, ... yeh, I admit I'm in love!
