Whippet Behaviour in Outdoor Sitting Spaces

Hello!

I live in Greece, Athens, and we are searching for a whippet to join our house. The lifestyle here is very outdoors focused and I want to ask, for example, will a whippet sit at a cafe with me for a couple of hours?

I ask because I've read a lot about how whippets don't like to lie on the ground with no pillow etc. We also spend each weekend in the town square with the kids going about on their bikes while we sit and snack, will a whippet be content to stay on the concrete floor there?


ANSWER

Whippets don't like to sit on the ground but if you provide a small, soft blanket, your hound will be happy to sit with you at the cafe.

Whippets will love Italy. They will love to bathe in the sun for hours on end. However they expect to be given either a rug or even a jumper to lie on, but they will also settle for grass
