Since the early 80's I have rescued a Whippet for my personal dog.
Two were from breeders giving up a champion
for this or that reason.
My recent one was truly a rescue from St. Clairsville, OH. The head of the Animal Control
got 11 whippets and kept them at her home.
My husband flew to OH and put Ladyhawk on a plane to Phoenix over 2 years ago. Taking a chance-yes, but I love the breed.
Not only is she drop dead beautiful but truly a good tempered dog. She had even gone to the Whippet Nationals in St. Louis, MO but she was older.
She really makes having a dog the best experience one can have.
Yes, she is a prure bred and I feel lucky to have her.
Hopefully other people feel the same way.
