Looking for a whippet puppy from our home base of Bulgaria

Hi there,

I am a UK citizen/Bulgarian resident, and my partner and I are just beginning our search for a whippet (as a pet). I'm primarily looking for a puppy, but I'm also open to rescuing a young dog. We can travel anywhere in Europe, but we're keen to minimise travel time for the critter. I'm currently researching breeders, starting in Eastern Europe, but I wanted to post on here and see if anyone has any recommendations or contacts.

My partner and I are both self-employed, working from home, and have plenty of time and attention to give to a dog!

Wow, long journey! Can I ask, how long did that take? Did you have to stop frequently for toilet/food breaks? And did your pup tolerate the motion of the vehicle well?

I cannot help, but wanted to wish you good luck on your search. I am glad to hear that you will both be home...you obviously understand the importance of being with your dog 24/7. Many people here in the States work full time, and adopt a dog. The dog seesthem 1 hour in the morning, and two hours at night, and the people wonder why the dog is destructive.

We drove 1200 miles to pick up our pup, who was 8 weeks old. The drive back was an adventure, for sure. He is now 20 months, a bundle of energy, sometimes a terror, but always loved. We are both home with him 24/7, always.
