Why does my whippet want me to find his bone? He hides milk bones all over the place and sometimes he finds it immediately and hides it again and again. Sometimes he hides it and find it days later, and sometimes he hides it (not really hidden) a foot in front of him or hides it in a blanket when we’re in bed and wants me to find it. He’ll bark until I get it and give it to him. Is he just wanting attention or is this some kind of instinct kicking in. Sometimes it seems like he’s presenting his catch to me and knows it’s not for him to keep unless I say so. Anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?
