By day you played in the hot summer sun and ran next to me, oh, how much fun!
At night you laid at my feet, and after school I was the first you greeted.

I watched you pass away today, and now I know you are in no pain.
My heart hurts badly for you, but I know you now have many bones to chew.

No more not being able to see or hear. You should see Bear, he misses you so. He grieves and lies where you once did.

No one could ever understand the connection we shared, you are my best friend. So please wait for me at the gates of heaven and we will meet once again.
