My wife and I are really struggling finding 'the right' smallish rescue dog and what we don't want to do is buy from a breeder. Has to be a bitch and everyone we see and like has been reserved/homed. Among various breeds and cross-breeds, whippets are of particular interest. Is there not a youngish girl out there? She would be a much loved pet and friend to our Wigeon - a male rescued greyhound (pic below (I have been adopting greyhounds for the last 30 years).
