Why do you need a whippet dog?

Whippets are such wonderful companions!
I've had my whippet for 16 years, yep you read right, 16 years.
She has taught me well over the years. I have had her since she was a baby and we have lived alone the whole time. I don't need anyone or anything in my worldly life but her.
I am disabled and she has had a natural ability since a pup to alert me to seizures before I have them. This has been a blessing for me, it gives me time to get to a safe place to have my seizure and she wakes me up with lots of wet kisses.
I love her with all my heart and dread the day when she is no longer here with me on earth.

I have a whippie that will be 16 in two months.

I have had dogs I have loved my whole life but my girl whippie is just an extraordinary companion.

I also have lived with her alone & every time I see her I get butterflies of happiness in my stomach... I just adore my little buddy.

I don't have seizures but my whippie does - they aren't sure why & with her age finding out would be too much stress for her.

She is very protective of me & any time I have been scared or sad, she lays her head on my stomach & presses down with her snout almost as if she is trying to comfort me.

I love your story & I share how you feel completely... Dogs are such a blessing!
