The muzzle looks wrong for a pit
by: Anonymous

Everybody thinks mine is a pit lab mix too but 50:50 mountain curr and rat terrier. She is very very lean with much better hip structure than a lab. She can run 30 miles or more beside my bike and hardly pant, but she's calm and lazy also.

She is a pitbull not a whippet!!!
by: volunteer

This dog is 100% a american staffordshire bull terrier. She could have some lab in her but just because your brother has terriers and they don't act like doesn't mean she is not a terrier. There are hundreds of terrier breeds and she is a terrier. The american staffordshire terrier is also known as a Pitbull which are amazing dogs, but I can tell you that she if NOT a whippet at all. So your vet was right!

IG mix
by: Anonymous

I would say that your dog is an Italian Greyhound mix. The body shape definitely indicates sighthound, and IG mixes are much more common than whippet mixes because of the large number of puppy mill breeders dealing in the breed. Lovely dog!
