After loosing our 12 year old whippet to cancer getting a new puppy was a very emotional experience.
It was so important we didn't make comparisons to our lost friend but that the new puppy be it's own individual.
Well, Kayleigh is most definitely her own little personality, plus.
She is so different in many ways. Much bolder and much more opinionated. And then she does these little things that just make our hearts skip a beat.
Little mannerisms so like the dog we lost. Like the way she lays down and rests her rawhide stick on her shoulder to chew on it. The way she taps us with her nose to get our attention. The way she looks back and forth at us when we are talking.
We greatly miss our little lost friend but know that we are in for another amazing and loving journey with our new puppy.
