Wedding Whippet

Ferris practicing his bow for the royal wedding

Although secretly a republican, Ferris the whippet is getting into the spirit of it all and will be attending the local street party where no doubt there will be the odd stray sausage roll or sandwich for him to nibble on!

God save the queen (and stray sausages).

Whippet Dog of the Day: Fleur

by Tamas Zagoni
(Budakeszi, Hungary)

Fleur came from France to me. She is playful, naughty and can run like no other whippet of mine.

She plays too hard with puppies sometimes, you have to look out.

I hope she will do fine later at races and dog shows.

Whippet Dog of the Day: Who's Wally?

by Katie and Ben Wood
(Durham, England)

Who, me?

Who, me?

Well, our whippet is actually called Mr Walter 'Bigglesworth' Wood but he gets all sorts for short. Walt? Walls? Oi? Naughty boy??

We picked Walter up just a week ago and already he is a huge part of our family. We simply can not imagine life without him. He is so placid and will befriend anyone, just an amazing animal! He actually loves humans more than dogs. I think he is one in disguise (shhh, don't tell anyone though).

When we decided we wanted to have a pet whippet I was on the lookout for a fawn and white whippet but my fiancé wanted a bridle one, so as you can see, Wally was just meant to be for us.

Whippet Dog of the Day: Zero

by Sharon
(San Juan, Puerto Rico)

Hi I'm Zero,
My current owner rescued me a year ago and I feel good and strong.

My other owners left me almost dying of hunger, was full of ticks, but today I am happy and clean.

I have a bed full of toys and plenty of food on my plate. :D

ZERO

Whippet Dog of the Day: Skye

by Dianne Culverhouse
(Liverpool)

This is my whippet puppy Skye.

She is nearly 5 months old and she is out of my 1st litter of pups.

She is totally different from her mum. She is very cheeky with lots of energy.

She loves to play with her mum and our 8 month old lhasa apso, they are best mates.

She loves lots of kissers and cuddles.
