Whippet Dog of the Day: Jet Goes for a Hike

The desert really can be beautiful. This is a picture of Jet and his friend, Honey after hiking up Blackie, one of the hills surrounding the Army's National Training Center. The National Training Center is located in the Mojave Desert in California.

Whippets have it much easier than heavier, long-haired dogs in these conditions but still really like to come in and lay on the couch in air-conditioning.
