I wrote in October 2010 re my whippet's problems with his balance. He has got a lot worse and is now on long-term steroids. He cannot function at all without the steroids. I have seen 4 different vets - 2 recommended MRI Scan, 1 said he wouldn't survive the sedation needed for an MRI, 1 said it was unlikely they could treat whatever was found with an MRI. I decided to try the steroid treatment and give him as long as possible. I do think he has Wobblers Syndrome - all the symptoms match. Anyone else heard of it in whippets?

I have heard of whippets getting wobblers disease. Perhaps you could mention this to a vet.
