After going through a very difficult and traumatic time in my life, I decided to get a little puppy.

I live on my own and it was very lonely for me at times. I went to Assisi which is an animal sanctuary in northern Ireland and that's where I met Skye. It was love at first sight.

After the necessary procedures were followed, a week later I took Skye home. She is the most beautiful, intelligent and loving little dog and life has taken on a whole new meaning for me.

I can't ever imagine life without her. She only has to look at me and I melt. I know in her I have found my best friend.

She's the best thing that's happened to me in a long time. She is ten weeks old and quite a little character. She loves being in the garden chasing birds and playing fetch.

She brings a ball to me and when I try to take it she tears off behind the bushes. A very cuddly little dog who loves to snuggle up with me on the sofa. I have actually fallen asleep with her on my shoulder.

Life will never be dull now she is here and I'm so lucky she came into my life.
