comment on diarreha
by: DKT

Definitely get to a vet if problem exists more than one day. I highly recommend pumpkin for dogs with diarreha. Helps firm things up.

I open a can of regular pumpkin and give 1/2 cup or so when there is a second loose poop incident.

By the second feeding you can probably add some quality kibble or cooked chicken. Also advise using a pro-biotic tablet.....keep them in the fridge and use when diarrhea starts in order to get good bacteria back in the gut.

Buy it at a health food store. Both were recommended by my Vet for a dog with inflammatory bowel disease, which triggered diarrhea incidents.

I successfully managed that dog with a good diet & the above treatments for 10 years WITHOUT drugs except for severe incidents.
