Lara the destroyer

Lara came to me via an internet advert. She was 5 months old and unwanted, although they wanted plenty of money for her. Whenever I saw her I was hooked, but I knew that I would be as I'd had a whippet before who lived for 15 years.

My first whippet was so gentle and walked at my heel, afraid that I'd run away and leave her. Lara is cheeky and I'm trying to train her not to run off and leave me when she spots something moving.

She hates being left on her own, destroys any bedding left in her den and has to be caged when I go out as she's so destructive when alone BUT I wouldn't be without her. She's got a lovely nature and is such a good pal.

Whippets are unique and once you've got one you'll never want any other kind of dog.

My whippet is the same.
I try to take her everywhere I go (when possible) otherwise she destroys everything. Tears up bedding, goes through the washing basket.
She frets terribly.
I'm quite sure that she suffered separation anxiety, but really, there's a way around everything.
Zelda and I have found our way around our issues, but a large concrete floored cage with shelter would be rather handy.
We could use it for when I am going somewhere that I couldn't take her. Like the supermarket! lol

Whippet problems are so worth working on and finding a solution to.
Zelda is my girl and I don't know where I'd be without her.
She's my best friend xo
