I guess I am so worried about her getting a proper balanced diet that I become quite nervous about her eating. I love her so much I want to do the right thing for her. I will try your suggestion and hope that it helps. Thank you so much...Andrea

Dogs are pack animals and scavengers.
We also had and, on occasions, still have a feeding problem with our dog Dash.
Now, when Dash starts to mess about with his food. I play the leader of the pack. I fill his food bowl, with a reduced amount and pretend to eat some of it.
The Pack leader always eats first.
If this does not work, the next day I pretend to eat it all and give him a nearly empty food bowl. The first time he went two days without food. On the third day he was all over me trying grab food out of the bowl.
Dogs are really clever and will try anything to have you work for them. It makes them feel that they are pack leader.
