Free Dog Toys

Ideas for free dog toys that will come in very handy when training a puppy not to bite and will help you avoid many dog problems.

Just like children, puppies don’t necessarily appreciate only expensive toys. Sometime, humble everyday objects can live a second life as cherished toys for your pet.

When training a puppy not to bite, a chewing toy can save many chair legs and your collection of Prada shoes.

Directing your puppy’s attention onto suitable toys will keep him occupied and save you dog problems that arise only out of boredom and lack of activity.

A Two-Month-Old Puppy Takes a Nap on a Bottle of Cold Water

A game my dogs always appreciate is a good chase of an empty plastic bottle. They love to squeeze the bottle flat and work their teeth into their plastic pray. For added interest I sometimes fill the bottle with their ration of dog kibble to keep the hunt more interesting and make them work for their food.

Raw, frozen bones make healthy, cheap treats that can entertain your puppy or dog for hours. I buy them in bulk, freeze them and hand them out when I leave my dogs alone to keep them busy.

Big, juicy carrots make cheap and healthy chewing toys, especially for teething puppies.

A knotted rope can be used for a game of tug, or just as chewing toy and teeth flossing tool.

Pine cones are always appreciated toys for a good game of fetch or simply to chew on in moments of relax. We collect them during our walks and keep them at hand to burn in the fire or as chewing toys.

Never give old shoes as dog toys not even if they have been bitten into pieces and unusable. It is just the best way to turn your puppy into a shoe terminator machine.
